Reports: Spanier Files Lawsuit Against Penn State

WJAC-TV is reporting that former Penn State President Graham Spanier has filed a lawsuit against Penn State, a report that was also made by the Centre Daily Times.

According to the reports, Spanier filed the civil action late on Friday afternoon in Centre County court. In the suit, Spanier asks for Penn State to turn over emails from 1998 to 2004 that pertain to Penn State’s internal investigation of the Jerry Sandusky scandal, which is being headed by former FBI chief Louis J. Freeh. Penn State has refused to do so.

His attorneys are claiming that Spanier needs the emails to effectively jog his memory since some emails are up to 14 years old.
