President Erickson to Speak at National Press Club

Freshman Convocation 2012

President Erickson will speak to the National Press Club for their Speaker’s Luncheon Series on October 31st in Washington D.C, according to a release from Penn State Live.

President Erickson plans to discuss the future of Penn State as a University, as well as its role in helping to prevent child abuse. Erickson hopes to focus on the many positives — ranging from academic, athletic, and philanthropic efforts– of Penn State in the past year as well.

The timing of this event directly follows the convention on child sexual abuse that is being held at Penn State.

Speakers for the 3,500 member club are chosen by newsworthiness, national or international stature, and exclusivity. The luncheon is open to the public, but it can also be viewed on CSPAN.
