Electric State Returns to Indigo

This Wednesday from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m., Indigo Nightclub will be alive with the sound of four DJs battling it out to open for Go Go Gadjet, as part of PRSSA’s 3rd semi-annual Electric State Battle of the DJs.

DJ Mikey Lin, John McKenna, aka DJ Kollektiv, DJ Desu, and the duo of Atomisk and Keegan Tawa are the four DJs set to battle against each other. Each of these DJs will spin a 20-minute set with their best jams, and the audience will get to choose the winner. The winner not only gets bragging rights for as long as they want, but they will get to spin in between Go Go Gadjet’s sets later on in the evening, performing from 11-2 a.m. Following the battle, hip-hop dance group Whiplash will perform.

The Spring 2012 Electric State saw a turnout of over 500 students. “We predict that we will exceed this number for our third Electric State,” said Executive Director Mike Pendleton.

The event is only for the 21+ crowd, with a $4 cover charge. The first 25 people in attendance will receive a free 22 oz. Bacardi drink and a T-shirt. Arrive ready to party and dance all night long! As the Facebook event says, it’ll be “a night you’ll never forget!”
