Valley Magazine Searching for Spring 2013 Cover Girl

Valley Magazine, Penn State’s life and style magazine, is searching for a Penn State student who is extremely involved in both their academics and extracurricular activities to be their Spring 2013 cover girl.

One print issue of Valley is published a semester and includes local style, entertainment and lifestyle trends.

Valley sees being featured in their magazine as a great way of recognizing your hard work and achievements as a student. Past cover girls have included Blue Sapphire PJ Maierhofer, THON 2010 Overall Caitlin Zankowski, Panhellenic President Sara Linkosky and global philanthropist, Varsity tennis player Kristen Roth.

If you think you fit the description or know someone who does, Valley requests you email Shaina Stern, Valley’s editor-in-chief, for an application or with any questions. Applications are due Sunday, January 13.

Staying Motivated in the 17th Hour

It’s the 17th hour in the BJC, and from the looks of it, it’s filled with energy and enthusiasm in the stands and on the floor. That being said, I know there are parts of the BJC that we can’t see from inside of THON, and I know there are some committee members that have shifts in places where there isn’t much going on, and times where standing just doesn’t sound so appealing anymore.
