The Hope Express: Delivering Letters Since 2007

This year on Valentine’s Day, while you are treating your significant other to a nice dinner, or if they’re not so lucky, dollar dog night, The Hope Express will be setting off for the sixth straight year on two grueling 135-mile and 140-mile journeys, respectively.

Just like the Pony Express (but better, much better), The Hope Express will be delivering a bag full of letters from Four Diamonds families on the seventh floor of the Hershey Medical Center to the Dancers at THON. An entire day after they start their journey, the Express runners will arrive at the Bryce Jordan Center at 5:30 on February 15 to be welcomed through a human tunnel.

From the seventh floor to the dance floor, here is the Express route that the 15 members of the team will be running.

If that weren’t enough, there will also be eight members of an Extreme Team who will run 140 miles in just 24 hours.

The Hope Express has raised over $75,000 since its first run and has helped close the gap between Hershey and State College. The Hope Express has raised its expectations for this year’s event with a goal of raising $100,000 for The Four Diamonds Fund and THON.
