Love Quotes to Take Over Social Media

We are constantly grappling with our personal views of love. It’s a tricky feeling to nail down.

So, instead, we rely on celebrities, philosophers, writers, movies, artists, and musicians to give us some insight into love with beautiful and sometimes ambiguous quotes. Today is when those quotes reign supreme on social media.

No matter if they’re romantic, tragic, or cynical – love quotes will be taking over your news and Twitter feeds. And to help perpetuate the trend, here’s some to pick from:

“All you need is love.” ~ The Beatles

“If music be the food of love, play on.” ~ William Shakespeare, Twelfth Night

“Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies.” ~ Aristotle

“You complete me.” ~ Tom Cruise, Jerry Maguire

“You ain’t a beauty, but hey, you’re alright. Oh, and that’s alright with me.” ~ Bruce Springsteen, Thunder Road

“You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.” ~ Dr. Seuss

“Love is a dog from hell.” ~ Charles Bukowski

“The heart was meant to be broken.” ~ Oscar Wilde

“Nothing takes the taste out of peanut butter quite like unrequited love.” ~ Charlie Brown

“Here’s to the wife and here’s to the sweetheart… May the two never meet.” ~ My Grandfather (an Irish toast)

“I was nauseous and tingly all over. I was either in love or I had the smallpox.” ~ Woody Allen

“A woman in love can’t be reasonable, or she probably wouldn’t be in love.” ~ Mae West
