Natty Nittany: Late Night on the Concourse

Hello everybody! We have entered the third and final day of THON, where some of the craziest, quirky, and coolest outfits were seen on the concourse of the BJC. For today’s Natty Nittany, I could’ve taken pictures of the OPP crew and some of their quirky hats and outfits, but I tried to steer clear of the big committees, and feature people on their way to support their organization and dancers.

First up, some of the guys from Alpha Gamma Rho were sporting some magnificent balloon hats, and part of their pair was a superhero!

I ended up breaking my “no major committee” rule for one reason, and one reason only: her shoes. Sam Payne had some very awesome lights added to her shoes. They helped make her more visible as a Rules and Regulations member.

While I walked around the concourse, I saw several people waiting in line. One of Mont Alto’s Donations Captains, Courtney Gingrich, looked like a bright fairy, minus the wings. Her outfit was the brightest thing in the line waiting to get onto the floor.

I ran into a very festive Atlas member, Taylor Scheese, with a sparkly tutu that paired perfectly with her fuzzy pink Atlas hat!

Alex Merone caught my eye with his very sequiny outfit. I’ll admit it. I have a guilty pleasure for sequined outfits, and he took the cake. His roomie is dancing, and he wanted to give him something to look at. I’m sure that when reaches the floor, his roomie will be very happy to see him. I mean, just look at those pants!

I can’t forget Springfield! Technically the Natty Nittany enjoys snapping pictures of people’s outfits. In this case, their porpoise was perfectly dressed with the org’s shirt. The Springfield members were very happy to show him off.

Finally, we have Daniel and Matthew. Daniel, in the M hat, and Matthew, in the C hat, were going down to the floor to go support their girlfriends, who are dancing. I thought that their beautiful headbands were a sweet touch.

Remember, these were just some of the quirky outfits seen on the concourse. There are even crazier ones out in the actual arena, like Superhero Gumby, who I saw walk back into the arena while I was out and about.
