Blue-White Weekend Events Announced

Start times for everything happening during Blue-White Weekend, from men’s gymnastics’ quest for a national title to a new OneTeam autograph session, were released yesterday afternoon.

According to the release, there will be a new event added to the weekend festivities called the OneTeam autograph session, which will feature athletes from various Penn State teams. This will take place on Saturday, April 20 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. near the music stage west of Beaver Stadium. StateCollege.com has more details on this in our continuing Blue-White countdown series today.

Along with the Blue-White game, the weekend will feature events on Friday (Wingfest and a fireworks show), Saturday (the Nittany Lion Club’s Blue-White Event with Bill O’Brien) and Sunday (the Beaver Stadium 5K Run/Family Walk to raise money for Special Olympics Pennsylvania). These will join the annual Blue-White carnival, which will feature live music and other performances by students.

In addition, Penn State athletics will be very busy over the weekend, highlighted by the men’s gymnastics team championships on Saturday and the individual championships on Sunday. Baseball, softball, men’s volleyball, men’s golf and men’s and women’s tennis will all have home events, while men’s and women’s soccer will both have exhibitions.
