Students Invent Bag to Get Around Beaver Stadium Security

Members of a Penn State student-developed think tank think they've solved the no-bag policy at Beaver Stadium. A group of students and recent graduates have started My Event Bag, a business that makes a clear plastic backpack. It's small enough to comply with the new security regulations at Beaver Stadium. Taylor Turrisi, director of sales and media for My Event Bag and a recent Penn State graduate, says the idea behind the product came in response to complaints that the clear bag policy felt like an invasion of privacy.

Meet Kaitlyn, the Penn State student who interned for three months at a chicken farm that houses six million hens in Grand Rapids, Michigan. (She requested that we change her name for this post.)

Kaitlyn, an animal science major set to graduate in 2015, worked at the farm from 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. every day. One of her main tasks was to check cages for dead birds, in addition to cleaning walls and dusting lights.
