TEDxPSU Now Soliciting Speaker Nominations
The TEDxPSU Executive Team is currently soliciting speaker nominations for the 2014 conference. Know someone with a unique message or perspective — perhaps a professor or a neighbor from your hometown? Consider nominating that person to speak at this year’s TEDxPSU.
For those unfamiliar with the event, TEDxPSU is an annual conference that brings together innovative and thought-provoking individuals from the Penn State community and beyond to share ideas worth spreading. Using a combination of live talks and pre-recorded videos, the goal of TEDxPSU is to inspire audience members to challenge preconceived notions, explore emerging trends, and contribute to an ongoing dialogue about the future.
Students will be able to nominate speakers they think would be inspiring, could teach the crowd something new, or get people to further engage with our community.
Representatives of TEDxPSU will collect speaker nominations at the HUB on Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the ground floor across from the main stairs. If you can’t make it out to the table, you can always fill out the online form.
If you have been to TEDxPSU before, then you know that the conference lived up to all the hype. If you weren’t there, click here to watch a video of muralist Michael Pilato, one of the speaker’s featured during the 2013 conference, talking about how art has impacted his life.
