Maybe Pat Chambers was onto something with that "best backcourt in the country" thing. Behind double-doubles from Tim Frazier and D.J. Newbill, Penn State men's basketball kicked off its 2013-14 campaign with a wire-to-wire win over Wagner College, 74-62.
The Penn State defense played one great half of football. The Penn State offense played one decent half of football. But the Nittany Lions simply could not put it together on Saturday against Minnesota as they fell 24-10 on the road to drop to 5-4 on the season with a 2-3 conference record.
