Skate and Dodge Away, FTK

If you still have yet to check out Pegula Ice Arena or have dreams of skating on the fancy new ice, THON is here to make your dreams a reality, all while raising money For The Kids.

This Saturday, from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m., the Pegula Ice Arena will host THON Skate, an annual event that allows community members to skate their hearts away while supporting a good cause. This will be a big year for the yearly event with its new venue, and it will only set back participants $5 for admission and another $2 to rent skates, with all the proceeds benefiting THON.

If skating your Saturday away isn’t enough for you, THON will host its official dodgeball tournament on Sunday from 12 – 4 p.m. in the Multi-Sport Complex. If you are looking to register a team, the cost is $70 for a team of six with one alternate — but get there fast, only the first 128 teams will be able to register. Signups continue through tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the first floor of the HUB.

There are only a few events left as the countdown ’til THON dwindles down, so be sure to get your fill of events this weekend. Happy 35 days ’til THON!
