New Online THON Store Released

As the THON community continues to grow each year, other aspects of THON are expected to follow. The newly renovated online THON store was revealed to the public on Monday after months of work by THON’s Technology Committee, the only committee fully selected during last year’s spring semester.

“With the growing number of THON supporters, we needed to ensure that the THON store was able to accommodate everyone’s needs,” said Technology Director Pat Lafferty. “[We want to] provide the best customer experience for people who want to support THON by purchasing merchandise.”

Lafferty said that the THON store is designed with growth in mind, and the previous store was in need of an upgrade to improve upon its performance and navigation.

The Technology Committee worked alongside Lafferty to develop the site, and also with the Merchandise Committee to meet their needs for the online store. It’s been a big year for the Merchandise Committee, especially after the announcement that a permanent, physical THON store would be part of the HUB expansion.

The graphic designers on the Public Relations Committee also played a vital role in creating the images and helping with the layout of the site. Keep your eyes out for HUB store coming in May 2015, but in the meantime you can count on the THONline store fulfill your apparel needs. There are only 23 left to get your gear for THON weekend!
