Your THON Weekend 2014 Weather Report

With THON taking place every year in the middle of February, the weather is usually an issue with the long line that generally forms outside of the BJC. Last year, frigid temperatures caused numerous people in line to suffer from hypothermia. This year, we decided to give prospective spectators waiting in line to get into the BJC the weather forecast for the weekend and let me say, the weather is looking much better this year. Without further ado, here is your forecast for THON Weekend.

Friday

High: 48°

Low: 30°

Details: Rain and possible thunder storm in the morning with a 66 percent chance of precipitation. Up to 1/3 of an inch of precipitation. Clearing up later in the day into the night with a 6 percent chance of precipitation. Winds Southwest at 10-20 mph. Sunset at 5:53 p.m.

Saturday

High: 49°

Low: 31°

Details: Mild weather with a slight breeze.  Chance of precipitation, 21 percent. Cooling down a little at night, but mild overall with generally clear skies. Winds West-Southwest at 5-15 mph. Sunset at 5:55 p.m.

Sunday

High: 44°

Low: 22°

Details: Cooling down slightly with a small chance of rain or snow during the day.  Chance of precipitation, 30 percent. Temperatures in the mid-30’s in the morning and in the mid-40’s at the conclusion of THON. Winds West-Northwest at 5-10 mph. Sunrise at 6:54 a.m.
