Penn State Adds Georgia State, Kent State To Future Schedules, Changes Pitt Date

Some southern schools were added to Penn State's future football schedules today, as the Nittany Lions will host the Sun Belt's Georgia State Panthers on Sept. 16, 2017, and will again host the Kent State Golden Flashes on Sept. 15, 2018. Because of the Georgia State addition, Penn State's 2017 home game with Pitt will be moved back to Sept. 9.

Michael Pilato to Host Mural Tour Benefitting THON

Michael Pilato recently added some larger-than-life Penn Staters to his Inspiration Mural, which he unveiled over Arts Fest Weekend. Pilato, arguably State College's most famous artist, added individuals from all aspects of Penn State, from athletics to the arts and most notably, THON.

Fencing Coach Wes Glon Drops Interim Tag

The saga of former fencing coach Emmanuil Kaidanov isn't over, but Penn State's fencing program remained elite in the first year following his firing under replacement coach Wes Glon. In fact, Glon was named coach of the year despite an interim tag after the team won its 13th national championship this year under his tutelage. Now, Glon is the program's leader for good. The university announced yesterday that Glon's interim tag is a thing of past.
