Thompson Square to Play Free Show at Nittany Block Party

Thompson Square, the country duo known for its hit song “Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not,” will hit the stage for a free show in front of the HUB at 5:30 p.m. on August 29, courtesy of SPA.

The group, made up of husband and wife Kiefer and Shawna Thompson, will headline the fourth annual Nittany Block Party, often billed as a back-to-school concert. The aforementioned “Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not” and “If I Didn’t Have You” reached No. 1 on the country charts in recent years, and the group recently released a new single titled “I Can’t Outrun You.”

Past Nittany Block Parties included Eric Hutchison and The Ready Set as headliners. Thompson Square is no slouch of an act either, winning the 2012 and 2013 Academy of Country Music Award for Vocal Duo of the Year. By the way, the block party will also have free food, so make sure you take advantage of it.
