Despite all of the weekend Pokey Stix and Panda Express lunches in the HUB throughout the week, Greatist released a list of the 25 healthiest colleges in America and—you guessed it—Penn State came in at number 10.
Penn State is known as a football university and its fans are among the best football fans in the country, but what about the other futbol team? The parallel between the terms, in regards to our football and soccer Nittany Lions, is no coincidence on the part of the men’s soccer team, who recently rolled out their new branding campaign, #PennStateFutbol.
Every day 86 Americans commit suicide. Though the numbers are staggering and many lives are effected by suicide, it is still a taboo topic. On Tuesday, the Centre County Board of Commissions paired with members of the Jana Marie Foundation to declare September 10 Suicide Awareness and Prevention Day. The day of awareness will hopefully shed light on the many facets of a very tragic issue.
