Penn Staters for Responsible Stewardship, the advocacy organization that has acted as kingmaker in the last two Board of Trustees alumni elections, announced its slate of endorsed candidates today. As expected, trustees Anthony Lubrano and Ryan McCombie, whose terms are up this year, will both seek a second term with PS4RS support. The third PS4RS candidate, who will run for Adam Taliaferro's open spot on the board, is Harrisburg-based attorney and 1991 graduate Robert Tribeck.
Starting on Feb. 1, students bands can apply for the chance to perform in the 2015 Movin’ On Battle of the Bands competition. The event allows musicians to fight for the opening act spot in Penn State’s 40th annual springtime music festival.
All we wanted was to have a little fun. We wanted to reinvigorate a historic, okay, a six-year-old rivalry. We wanted a healthy competitive event for Onward State writers and Daily Collegian writers to cathartically find some middle ground. We just wanted to have a simple crate race against the student media competition.
