Where To Get Last-Minute THON Gear

There are only a few days left until we dance, but before the procrastinators among us are ready to empower the dreamers, you’re going to need to acquire some of that colorful attire that gives THON its staple rainbow atmosphere. Fear not! We’ve put together a list to help you find some last-minute THON swag.

Make your own!

D.I.Y. THON gear is actually a lot easier than you might expect. You can make just about anything with a hot glue gun and some sequins. Luckily, we’ve already put together a guide on how to make your very own THON socks and shorts. You can also check out this guide on making your own THON tutu, so you can look as cool as this guy:

The HUB

Believe or not, you can buy more than just books and Chick-fil-a at the HUB. Just about every day this week student orgs will be selling THON digs – namely tutus and yarn headbands (a.k.a. hot loops). If you’re bad at making things, than this is probably a good option for you.

McLanahan’s

If you live downtown, then you’re in luck. In addition to having all the neon tanks and fanny packs your heart could ever desire, McLanahan’s has some fun extras like giant sunglasses and bouncy balls. So next time you step in to grab a hoagie, get some THON gear too.

The Family Clothesline

This is probably one of the cheapest options. You just can’t beat buying a Penn State tank top in your neon color of choice for just $10. They’re also extremely well-stocked on tutus, and have tons of different knee socks to fit your THON spirit.

Literally at THON

Or, you could just keep on procrastinating and get your THON gear at the event itself! If you want to be like that guy who goes to a concert and puts the band t-shirt on as soon as he leaves the merch table, then this is the option for you. They sell tons of shirts on the main concourse level of the BJC, so if you really want to wait until last minute (literally) before you go into THON – you’re covered.

That’s about it! Let us know in the comments if we missed your favorite store for THON swag. We dance in two!
