Your Drink And Dinner Specials For St. Patrick’s Day

Students will once again paint the town green this Tuesday in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. Regardless of their heritage, the festive holiday gives everyone a reason to test the luck of the Irish at the local bars and eateries. Fortunately, a handful of bars will welcome the crowds with some appetizing specials that will have any Penn Stater feel like they’re at an authentic Irish pub.

For those looking to pass time in between classes to drink, eat, and dance on a Tuesday, we compiled a list of the local specials that will make you feel like you’re partying in Dublin.

The Arena Bar & Grill
-Green beer, Irish fare, and giveaways all day.

Kildare’s
-Brunch and Bloody Mary’s for the English Premier League soccer games.
-10 p.m.: $3 Guinness, Harp, and Smithwicks.
-12 p.m.: Half price Irish Car Bombs & Jameson.

The Phyrst
-Open from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m., 19 whole hours, with live music and drink specials.

Liberty Craft House
-Irish-themed foods including bangers and mash, bratwurst and sauerkraut sandwiches, split pea and ham soup, and chocolate whiskey cake.
-$3.50 pints and $4 neat/rocks.

P.J. Harrigan’s Bar & Grill
-$6 appetizers and $2 Bud Light drafts from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
-Traditional Irish cuisine including beer-battered salmon skewers, corned beef and cabbage, Irish grilled cheese sandwiches, lamb skew, and classic Irish bread pudding
-Live entertainment beginning at 7 p.m.
