Dillon Francis Added To Zedd Show At The BJC

Homecoming week at Penn State received a little boost of excitement this week.

On top of all the usual festivities — like the parade, and more importantly, the football game on Saturday — Penn State looks to add a musical element by showcasing one of the world’s most prominent DJ’s: Zedd. It’s been known for a while now that Zedd was going to make a Happy Valley stop during his True Colors Tour. Luckily for Penn State students, Zedd decided to announce he will be bringing a couple of friends with him.

Dillon Francis will be the main act accompanying Zedd, and look for him to create quite the party atmosphere when he takes the stage at the BJC . The Los Angeles DJ is best known for his remixes, and although only one of Francis’ studio albums has garnered national attention , even casual listeners will recognize some of his music. After being discovered by Diplo, Dillon Francis fiercely ascended to the top of the EDM scene with his unique style of “Moombahton” electronic music. This style is absolute electricity, and is best described as a fusion between exuberant house music, reggaeton, and emphatic Caribbean-based Latin styles. Francis has gained so much hype lately that some are led to believe he has surpassed his Mad Decent mentor: Diplo.

Francis has collaborated with large names such as Calvin Harris, Diplo, and Martin Garrix during his career. Look for him to come out blazing with his signature buildups and earth-shaking bass drops. This is all going down on October 9 with tickets priced at $60.00.

If you like dancing and good music, make sure to be there.
