DaeSean Hamilton Named to Biletnikoff Watch List

More and more watch lists are being released, and more and more Nittany Lions are being honored. Penn State wide receiver DaeSean Hamilton was named to the Biletnikoff watch list, awarded to the nation’s most outstanding receiver.

Last season, Hamilton was one of the bright spots on a dysfunctional-at-times offense. When Christian Hackenberg had enough time to throw the football, he found Hamilton more often than anyone else. His 82 receptions were the most ever by a Penn State freshman, and the second-most in a season behind Allen Robinson’s 97 in 2013. His 899 yards were also a Penn State freshman record, and his 14 catches in the double-overtime loss against Ohio State were the most in a single game in Penn State history. For his efforts, Hamilton was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team.

Last week, Hamilton was named to the Maxwell Award watch list, and while some pundits don’t have faith in his chances, it surely is great motivation for him.

Penn State now has six players on eight watch lists. The Biletnikoff will be awarded on Dec. 10 during the Home Depot College Football Awards on ESPN.
