Gameday Coverage: Penn State vs. Temple

Happy game day, Penn State! The Nittany Lions kick off the 2015 season today against the Temple Owls. The last time we saw James Franklin’s team, it won the Pinstripe Bowl over Boston College in walk off fashion. Temple went 6-6 in 2014, and the program wasn’t invited to a bowl.

Penn State leads the all-time series 39-3-1, and is 12-3 at Temple.
Below is all of the media information you’ll need for today’s game:
Kickoff: 3:30 p.m. Eastern time.
Television: ESPN — Bob Wischusen, Brock Huard, and Shannon Spake.
Radio: Penn State Sports Network — Steve Jones, Jack Ham, and Joe Putnam. Local: 93.7 FM/1450 AM. Sirius: Ch. 132. XM: Ch. 196.
Weather: According to Accuweather, it should be around 82 degrees at kickoff, and around 74 degrees by the time the game ends.
Last time they met: Penn State defeated Temple 30-13 in 2014. Christian Hackenberg struggled, throwing for just 12 completions and 122 yards on 26 attempts. Akeel Lynch scored his second career touchdown and rushed for 130 yards to help carry the offense. The defense forced five second-half turnovers –including the first career interceptions for freshmen Grant Haley and Christian Campbell — to seal the victory.
Injuries: There are no official injuries listed, but Adam Breneman and Ben Kline are not listed on the depth chart after sitting out all of 2014 with injuries. Franklin refused to comment this week, saying that he traditionally doesn’t talk about injuries.
