Penn State Football Mentioned In An Episode Of ‘Rugrats’

Remember your favorite childhood cartoon with the babies? You know, the show with those daring toddlers that went on hilarious misadventures? Tommy, Chucky, Phil, Lil, and Cynthia? Yes, we’re talking about “Rugrats.”

You may think this show is wildly irrelevant to college. However, your beloved childhood ‘toon seems to relate back to Penn State. The episode “Turtle Recall” alludes to a Penn State and Notre Dame football game.

Check out the 1:33 minute mark, where the character Stu notices a television screening a football game. His reaction? “Hey! Isn’t that the Penn State vs. Notre Dame game?”

Though the teams haven’t met on the football field since 2007, the rivalry is alive and well on the ice rink and social media.
