Student Dance Organizations To Perform Annual Holiday Showcase

Penn State’s Ballet Club, Volé, will host its annual Tis’ The Season Showcase this Friday, November 6. The event will feature a collection of some of the best student dance organizations on campus performing their holiday routines.

The showcase will include performances by seven differnt groups: Rêve Dance Company, Urban Dance Troupe, Orchesis Dance Company, Penn State Dance Alliance, Tapestry Dance Company, Whiplash Dance Team, and, of course, Volé.

The dance companies range in their styles of dance but all are coming together to help bring in the season. The goal of the showcase is not only to display the talents of the organizations involved in a spirited fashion, but also to show off some of the arts Penn State students have to offer.

The showcase will be held in Schwab Auditorium. The holiday performances will begin at 7 p.m., but doors open at 6:30 p.m. to give you the chance to fight off other holiday-dance fanatics and get a good seat. Admission for the event is free and everyone is both invited and encouraged to attend.

The weather might be a little warmer than average this week, but come get in the holiday spirit this Friday night with some spirited dance routines.
