Natty Nittany: Spring Career Days

It’s that time of the year again: Students adorn their professional attire and head down to the Bryce Jordan Center for a chance to meet with prospective employers at the Spring Career Days. The frigid temperatures weren’t enough to keep these students away, and they all dressed their best to make a mark on the employers in attendance. Here are some of the most stylish students we found today while they were job hunting:

Bryan O'Donnell, Spring Career Days

The first student I ran into was Bryan, a Chemical Engineering major, who was fresh on the scene and looking over his résumé before he hit the main concourse. His black suit was from JCPenney, which he purchased just for this event. He was extremely excited to explore all that he could do with his major, and the many employers that he could speak with.

Roxanne Beall, Spring Career Days

Roxanne looked stunning in her black Calvin Klein suit jacket, and was excited to see what she could do in the workplace with her Environmental Systems Engineering major. She thought the career fair was an amazing opportunity to see what it takes to thrive in a workplace, and how she would fit into the mold of many different environments.

Omar Aziz, Spring Career Days

Omar is a senior majoring in Energy Business and Finance. That sharp navy Zegna suit he’s wearing is just for this event, and he thinks it will be the key to securing a good job. Omar believes the career fair is the perfect opportunity to apply all the skills and techniques that he has learned in the classroom in the workplace.

Mohammed Usman-Isiaka, Spring Career DaysI spotted Mohammed in this slim fitting Zara suit and a crisp blue tie when I first arrived. He picked up the piece back in Boston, but knew this was just the time to break it out and impress all the employers here at the career fair.

Dylan Goshert, Spring Career DaysI saw Dylan, a Mechanical Engineering major, looking fresh in the hallway below the main concourse. He had just arrived at the fair and was excited to see what the event had to offer. That dapper suit he’s wearing is fresh off the rack from Harper’s on College Avenue and was purchased just for this event. Dylan was excited to experience everything the fair had to offer.

Prabhjot Kaur, Spring Career DaysPrabhjot looked amazing in her black suit jacket and blue blouse. If you want that exact jacket, it’s going to be a tough find since it’s all the way from India. She plans to spend the day experiencing all that she can do with her Masters in Engineering and Management.

Kate Waskiw, Spring Career DaysI stumbled upon Katie while she waited to speak with a prospective employer. She was rocking a tan suit, which she wears at every career fair she goes to. Katie couldn’t wait to check out as many careers as she could with her Industrial Engineering major.

Fikru, Spring Career DaysAlthough it may not seem look like it here, Fikru was ecstatic to see all the opportunities that awaited his Petroleum and Natural Gas major on the concourse. The glamorous Bert Pulitzer suit he’s rocking is from his father.

Good luck to everyone career and internship hunting, looking the part is half the battle.
