Calling All Alumni: Send Us Your Best Dorm Photos

As you probably already know, Penn State has a huge alumni network. In fact, it’s the second-most active in the nation.

One member from our large network, alumnus Wayne S. Myers, recently sent us this photo of his grandfather’s dorm room from 1909:

12670346_10204620418989549_5274552512530629038_n                                        People really did not smile in pictures back then.

Inspired by Myers’ grandfather and his old school dorm decor, we wondered: What have Penn State’s dorms looked like throughout the years? (Also, when did people start smiling in pictures?)

We want our questions answered, and only you folks can help. If you have any photos you’d like to share of your (or your relative’s/friend’s/etc.) old dorm room in all its glory, send them on over to [email protected].

Please include:

  • Your name
  • The person/people in the photo’s name
  • The location of the dorm
  • The year the picture was taken
