Penn State Football Announces Two More Primetime Kickoff Times In November

A week ago the ABC family of networks announced that the 8 p.m. kickoff between Penn State and Ohio State will be televised on ABC, ESPN, or ESPN 2. This year it will mark the fifth year in a row the two teams will face each other at that time.

Penn State will host the University of Iowa and visit Rutgers for two primetime games on Big Ten Network. Penn State’s military appreciation game is set for 7:30 p.m. against Iowa on Nov. 5. The Rutgers game is set for 8 p.m. on Nov. 19 and may find itself to be a little less exciting than this past season’s stripe out. The two additional primetime games mark the first time Penn State gets night game action since heading out to Pitt back in 1987.

The last time the Nittany Lions faced the Hawkeyes was in 2012 in Iowa City coming up with a 38-14 win. Penn State saw a victory over Rutgers this past season topping the Scarlet Knights 28-3 and dispelling the notion that Rutgers and Penn State have any semblance of a rivalry.
