DOTD: Former Penn State Cheerleaders Have Adorable Surprise Engagement Video

If you haven’t picked up on it yet, we love love stories here. We just can’t help it: two Penn Staters falling in love and being happy together gives us the warm-fuzzies. But this story also has one of this writer’s personal favorites as well — an elaborate ruse.

Two former Penn State cheerleaders, Dan and Kelly, met after moving to Philadelphia post-graduation. They never overlapped at Penn State, but had connected on Facebook, and decided to meet up. The two had an instant connection, and their first date lasted three hours. But when Dan wanted to take their relationship to the next level, he decided to do something over the top. He told Kelly that Philly Mag wanted to interview them for a piece about working and living in Philadelphia, all the while using his friends who were professional photographers and videographers to make the video. The end result is an absolutely adorable engagement, I’ll let the video do the rest of the talking.

Congrats Dan and Kelly!

About the Author

Mike Reisman

is a senior Supply Chain Management major with an Economics minor (Read: Business Douche) from South Jersey. He has an intense fear of graduating so please don't bring it up. He writes about stupid things nobody cares about, and student life if the site is low on content that is clearly supposed be funny but is really very unfunny. He is lovingly (?) known around the staff as Baby Mike which may or may not be because he has a child (hint: it’s not). He’s also a second generation Penn Stater who has been wearing Penn State sweatshirts since before he was two, a habit he hasn’t grown out of.
