Your Homecoming Week Event Listing

It’s Homecoming week, folks! Before Penn State takes on the Maryland Terrapins this Saturday, these events will help you show your Penn State pride across campus:

Monday: Pollock Party & Dance Competition — 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Pollock Courtyard

This festival on the Pollock Quad will introduce freshmen to what Homecoming is all about and features plenty of free snacks and activities.

Tuesday: Past to Present — 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the HUB

Past to Present is all about Penn State’s history and the history of Homecoming, but don’t worry if you’re not a history buff — there will also be free snacks. Are you sensing a theme here?

Tuesday: For the Glory Talent Show — 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Eisenhower Auditorium

Organizations competing in Homecoming will showcase a wide range of talents and are encouraged to incorporate the organization’s individual Homecoming theme and the overall Homecoming theme.

Wednesday: Best of Penn State (BOPS) Carnival & Field Day — 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the HUB Lawn

BOPS Carnival is arguably the biggest “pride event” of the week (other than the parade) and will include games, activities, and inflatables in addition to free snacks and carnival foods like popcorn, cotton candy, and sno cones.

Friday: Ice Cream Social — 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Hintz Alumni Center

Students and returning alumni are invited to enjoy ice cream before the parade.

Friday: Homecoming Parade — 6 p.m. at University Park

Sit back on campus or on College Ave. to enjoy the largest student-led Homecoming parade in the country with floats from competing organizations, the Grand Marshal and Honorary Grand Marshal, Student, Alumni, and University Courts, and other facets of the Penn State community.

Saturday: Homecoming Game — 12 p.m. at Beaver Stadium

During the game against Maryland, Homecoming will announce the winning organizations and the Homecoming King & Queen. The Homecoming Executive Committee will also be introduced.
