Gameday Coverage: Penn State vs. Ohio State

It’s finally here, Penn State fans. The White Out, the greatest spectacle in college football, is upon us.

James Franklin’s Nittany Lions (4-2, 2-1 Big Ten) had a chance to rest up over the bye week, while Urban Meyer and No. 2 Ohio State (6-0, 3-0 Big Ten) are fresh off a 30-23 overtime win at Wisconsin.

Here’s all the media information you’ll need to tune into tonight’s primetime showdown.

Television Coverage

Kickoff is set for 8:00 p.m. on ABC. Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, and Samantha Ponder are on the call.

Radio

Penn State Sports Network — Steve Jones, Jack Ham, and Derrick Williams. Local: 93.7 FM/1450 AM. Sirius: Ch. 132. XM: Ch. 196.

Weather

According to AccuWeather, tonight’s temperature at kickoff should check in around 42 degrees (RealFeel: 32) under partly cloudy skies in Beaver Stadium.

Last Time They Met

Then-No. 1 Ohio State blew past the Nittany Lions in Columbus 38-10 thanks to a 21-0 second quarter. Saquon Barkley went for 194 yards on 26 carries in the loss and should be in for another big night Saturday.

Injuries

Linebackers Jason Cabinda and Brandon Bell were back at the practice for the first time in weeks, and James Franklin was cautiously optimistic that we would see both of them on the field against the Buckeyes. Following the season-ending injury to right tackle Andrew Nelson, it appears Paris Palmer will slot in on the left side while Brendan Mahon will bump to the right. Punter Blake Gillikin was a little banged up against Maryland but the freshman should be ready to go. Corners Christian Campbell and Amani Oruwariye have been out the last one and two games, respectively.

Line

Penn State +18, according to Westgate. Over/Under: 55.5
