The Weeknd To Continue Starboy World Tour At Penn State Sept. 6

UPDATE: (10:14 a.m.) The Bryce Jordan Center announced on Twitter Tuesday morning that it will host the concert after no venue had been officially confirmed when the news broke the night before. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 11 a.m. on bjc.psu.edu.

The Weeknd released the schedule for the second phase of his “Starboy: Legend of the Fall 2017 World Tour” Monday night. He’ll make a stop at an unconfirmed venue in University Park on Wednesday, Sept. 6, according to his Twitter account.

The Bryce Jordan Center is not currently holding an event on that date, making it the most likely candidate to host the show.

This will be The Weeknd’s first trip to Penn State. The concert falls in between the first two weeks of the football season, when the Nittany Lions will face Akron and Pitt to open their 2017 campaign.

The Weeknd has dates lined up across the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand on this leg of the four-phase tour, but the very first will be right here in State College. We’ll be sure to update you when venue and ticket information is released.
