Live Blog: No. 4 Penn State vs. Indiana

Greetings from Beaver Stadium, Nittany Lions fans! No. 4 Penn State will open its home Big Ten play this afternoon against Indiana. The Hoosiers enter this game 2-1 after a hard loss to open the season against Ohio State. We’ll have updates throughout tonight’s game on this page, including analysis, photos, tweets, and more. Here’s the media information you’ll need and here are our staff predictions.

Fourth Quarter

Third Quarter

3:22 — Tyler Davis hits the PAT to confirm Penn State’s 38-14 lead over the Hoosiers.

15:00 — The Hoosiers start the half at their own 25-yard line.

Second Quarter

:44 — Indiana picks up another touchdown late in the quarter on a pass from Peyton Ramsey to Simmie Cobbs, Jr.

6:16 — The Nittany Lions end their worst drive of the game so far, punting after a sack on Trace McSorley. The Hoosiers will take over at their own 9-yard line.

First Quarter

:41 — The kick is good! Penn State is up 28-0 in the last few seconds of the first quarter.

 

6:34 — That didn’t take long. Irvin Charles knocks it loose on Indiana’s punt return and Nick Scott takes it 13 yards to post Penn State’s third touchdown.

14:46 — This is Penn State’s first kickoff returned for a touchdown since Chaz Powell returned 95 yards to the house vs. Indiana State in 2011. It’s also Barkley’s first-ever kick returned for a touchdown.

15:00 — Indiana wins the coin toss and defers to the second half; Penn State will receive the kick.
