Penn State Athletics Auctioning Off ‘Generations Of Greatness’ Jerseys And Memorabilia

Saturday’s matchup against Indiana became one for the ages when the Nittany Lions ran onto the field in their “Generation of Greatness” throwback uniforms. Penn State is now auctioning off the game-worn jerseys and other memorabilia from the event.

There are 108 jerseys for sale including several duplicate numbers. You can also purchase a pair of gloves, a No. 17 helmet, a game-used football, or a souvenir football signed by James Franklin.

According to the Nittany Lions Official Marketplace website, proceeds from the auctions and all purchases made in the online store go directly to the athletic department.

Unsurprisingly, Saquon Barkley’s jersey has a high bid of  $2500 and 34 total bids as of our publishing time. Even the duplicate No. 26 jersey, which presumably belongs to safety Jonathan Sutherland, is going for $631. Other popular jerseys include those of Saeed Blacknall, Marcus Allen, DaeSean Hamilton, Trace McSorely, Mike Gesicki, and Jason Cabinda.

The auctions for the game-used football and the signed football end on October 4 and October 11 respectively, but the auctions for all other merchandise end on October 10.
