Penn State Lacrosse Midfielder Ryan Keenan Named To USILA Team Of The Week

Penn State men’s lacrosse senior Ryan Keenan was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division I Team of the Week following his season-opening performance against Villanova.

No. 12 Penn State was unable to take down Villanova in its season opener Sunday afternoon, but Ryan Keenan shined for the Nittany Lions. The senior notched the first hat-trick of the season for Nittany Lions before halftime, and finished with five goals and two assists in the overtime loss. His performance was good enough for his third career hat trick and places him among just three midfielders in this newly-minted USILA award.

Keenan was named a team captain for the 2018 season. He finished with 10 goals and 13 points last season, and he will look to build on those stats for his senior year.

The Nittany Lions return to Holuba Hall Saturday at 1 p.m. looking for their first win of the season against Hobart.
