THON 2018: Your Comprehensive BJC Concourse Food Guide

Whether you’re dancing along in the stands, organizing a crowd of committee members, or holding oversized letters for the next 46 hours, you’re bound to work up appetite at THON. Luckily, the BJC concourse has a wide selection of vendors and concession stands to keep guests awake and excited.

BJC Concession Stands

The Walmart of concourse food options, these stops sell a host of expected concession-stand eats such as hotdogs, chicken tenders and nachos. They also offer a variety of snacks and drinks, including popcorn, $3 Sheetz coffee, Gatorade, and fruit.

Dippin’ Dots

Fans of the tiny ice cream pellets have a wide selection of flavors to choose from at this years event, including Chocolate, Cookies ‘n Cream, Cotton Candy, and Rainbow Ice.

Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup Stand

An annual staple of the concourse scene, this comfort-food pavilion also offers Oh Snap! pickles, cookies, candy and drinks to compliment its two primary players. $6 will get you a grilled cheese sandwich and a tomato soup bowl.

Wok & Roll

Wok & Roll is the place to go for a more complete meal in between the hustle and bustle of THON shifts. The stand offers three different types of stir fry and noodles — General Tso’s Chicken and white rice, pepper steak with white rice, and veggie lo mein — for $8 each, alongside $2 egg rolls.

Roaring Grille & Fresh + Healthy Salad

Philly natives will appreciate Roaring Grille’s Cheesesteak menu: Both classic and buffalo chicken varieties of Pennsylvania’s favorite sandwich can be purchased there. Healthy Salad offers guacamole, humus, and breadsticks alongside its signature entree salad.

Pretzel Revolution

Pretzel Revolution returns to THON with its menu of creative variations on a classic snack, including the Banana Nutella-stuffed flavor that was added last year and non-desert options such as Buffalo Chicken and Pizza.

Kono Pizza

Pizza in a cone: an easy-to-eat variation on the traditional pie. The stand sells both Cheese ($6) and Pepperoni ($7) cones.

Grab & Go Snack Bar

The perfect option for the time-pressed, Grab & Go serves as the BJC’s portable convenience store. Stop there for snacks ranging from Cliff and Kind Bars to Chobani Yogurt.

Penn State Creamery Stand

Pint-sized containers of Creamery ice cream as well as popcorn and candy can be purchased at the Creamery stand. Death by Chocolate, Cookies ‘n Cream, and Vanilla are all on the menu. The stand also sells the Creamery’s new THON flavor, Gold Ribbon Ripple.
