Road Work Continues After Water Main Break on Pugh Street

State College Borough Water Authority crews have made line repairs after a water main broke on Sunday afternoon on South Pugh Street, but restoration of the road will continue on Tuesday.

The 100 block of South Pugh Street, between East College and East Beaver avenues, was closed on from Sunday afternoon through  Monday. While repairing the water main break, which damaged the road, crews discovered another leak that also needed to be fixed.

The block remains closed to traffic. From 7 p.m. on Monday to 7 a.m. on Tuesday, it will be open from College Avenue to Calder Way for local deliveries The entire block will then be closed again to traffic after 7 a.m. on Tuesday for crews to perform roadway restoration work. Drivers should use alternate routes.

Pugh Street Parking Garage remains closed, and vehicles already parked there can exit through the entrance.
