Nittanyville Wins ESPN’s Weekly Live Más Student Section Contest

To say that Penn State football’s first road trip of 2019 went well would be an understatement.

Aside from dominating Maryland from start to finish in a 59-0 victory, Nittany Lions fans are also getting some well-deserved recognition for their efforts under the Friday night lights.

Nittanyville became the first-ever student section to win ESPN’s Live Más Student Section Contest at an away game Tuesday morning. Penn State fans had a massive showing at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium Friday night, and students even took over the Terps’ student section once the game quickly got out of hand.

While Maryland scheduled a blackout and canceled classes Friday afternoon for the game, Penn State fans did a fantastic job getting plenty of white in the bleachers.

Penn State’s players also made sure to give plenty of recognition to their fans after the impressive victory, including starting quarterback Sean Clifford.

While the accolades are always appreciated, Penn State fans will now need to turn their focus to Homecoming Weekend and a noon kickoff against Purdue, Purdue, Purdue.
