Define Your Story: Applications Now Open To Join Lion Ambassadors

The application process to join The Lion Ambassadors — the student alumni corps of the Penn State Alumni Association is now open.

Lion Ambassadors work throughout the year to fulfill their mission to instill pride among the student body and promote the University within the Penn State community including past, present and future students.

Lion Ambassadors assist the Penn State Alumni Association and serve the University through campus projects, philanthropies, as well as guiding prospective student tours for the Undergraduate Admissions Office and other University guests.

The organization is comprised of members who commit themselves to the traditions of Dear Old State. This is shown through their pride, loyalty, spirit, and enthusiasm.

Membership depends on many factors including an applicant’s interest in Lion Ambassadors, commitment to service, and an enthusiasm for Penn State. Preliminary selection for an interview is based solely on the application. Your identity as an applicant will remain anonymous throughout the review of the written application.

Final selections will be based on the application and a personal interview. Please email any questions to [email protected].

Interested students have until the application deadline of Friday, Dec. 11 at 11:59 p.m. for the chance to help “Define Your Story” at Penn State.

You must be at least a sophomore at University Park with a minimum of three semesters remaining to apply.

The application can be accessed here.

Each fall, Lion Ambassadors look to recruit new members who believe in the legacy of our Alma Mater and wish to dedicate themselves to serving the University as an ambassador. This organization requires hard work and dedication from all of its members.

Lion Ambassadors are a dynamic and diverse group of student leaders who are united by their commitment to giving back to Penn State. Our journey together on campus is one that will impact the lives of many and the memories we share together will last a lifetime.

Each ambassador truly believes that their relationship with the University is a lifelong commitment.
