Trace McSorley To Serve As College GameDay Guest Picker

Former Penn State football quarterback Trace McSorley will serve as College GameDay’s guest picker Saturday morning ahead of the No. 18 Nittany Lions’ matchup with No. 3 Ohio State.

This is McSorley’s debut as a guest picker on the program, but it’s certainly not his first appearance on ESPN’s flagship college football morning show. College GameDay has visited Penn State in each of the last four years, making the university the only school to play host every year in that span.

McSorley will join Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, and the gang to make his selections for today’s slate of games.

McSorley became Penn State’s starting quarterback in 2016 and launched a historic career with the Nittany Lions over the next three seasons. He holds a handful of program records, including the most passing yards in a single season (3,360), the most passing touchdowns in a single season (29), and the most consecutive games with a touchdown pass (27).

The Baltimore Ravens selected McSorley in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft at No. 197 overall. He made his professional debut in Baltimore’s regular-season finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2019 and currently serves as the team’s third-string quarterback.

Recently, McSorley has received renowned fame thanks to a new viral TikTok trend. His internet clout has even led to a few write-in votes from some uber-passionate fans.
