Four-Star Athlete Mehki Flowers Commits To Penn State Football

Penn State football has added yet another talented wideout to its recruiting class of 2022.

Pennsylvania star wide receiver Mehki Flowers announced his commitment to Happy Valley via Twitter Friday morning.

Flowers is considered a four-star prospect on 247Sports and is ranked as the No. 4 player in Pennsylvania. The Harrisburg native is also ranked as the No. 15 wide receiver in the nation, just three spots ahead of fellow Nittany Lion commit Kaden Saunders.

Saunders, who hails from Westerville, Ohio, verbally joined James Franklin’s program back in July. Flowers, Saunders, and Pennsylvania’s Anthony Ivey now make up a group of three four-star wideouts to commit to the Nittany Lions.

247Sports’ Brian Dohn described Flowers as “usually the best athlete on high school field by a wide margin” who has the athletic ability to play safety along with wide receiver. Coming in at 6’1″ and 187 pounds, Flowers’ size and athletic ability could make him a dominant force down the line as a Nittany Lion.

The wideout has received 21 scholarship offers so far, including looks from Arizona State, Nebraska, and Kentucky.

As a junior at Steelton-Highspire High School this past fall, Flowers helped the Steamrollers to a 12-0 overall record and a 4-0 mark in Mid-Penn Conference Play.
