Penn State Women’s Volleyball-Ohio State Postponed Due To COVID-19 Cases

No. 9 Penn State women’s volleyball’s January 26 matchup with Ohio State has been postponed due to positive COVID-19 tests within the Nittany Lions’ program, according to the team.

Penn State said an undisclosed number of positive tests were found among the team’s “Tier 1” personnel, which includes student-athletes, coaches, trainers, and additional staff members.

Penn State said it will work with the Big Ten to identify rescheduling options and potentially make the game up later this season.

At this time, it appears Penn State’s other matchup with Ohio State, slated for Sunday, January 31, hasn’t yet been affected.

Penn State’s season-opening two-match series with Michigan, scheduled for January 22 and 23, was postponed on Thursday. Although the team didn’t confirm it at the time, it seems like the series fell through due to COVID-19 issues on Penn State’s end.
