Penn State Women’s Volleyball-Ohio State Rescheduled

No. 9 Penn State women’s volleyball and Ohio State have officially rescheduled their spring season series, which was originally postponed due to COVID-19 issues within the Nittany Lions’ program.

Penn State will travel to Columbus to take on the Buckeyes on Wednesday, February 17. The team will later host Ohio State at Rec Hall on March 3.

The Nittany Lions paused all team activities earlier this winter due to an undisclosed number of positive COVID-19 tests among “Tier 1” personnel, which includes student-athletes, coaches, trainers, and some staff members.

Penn State hasn’t yet played a match this season. Its season-opening series with Michigan was also postponed. Both sides haven’t yet rescheduled the two matches, likely due to the Wolverines’ department-wide athletics pause.

Penn State will open its season when it hosts Illinois on Friday, February 5. First serve is set for 9 p.m. on the Big Ten Network. The series’ second match will get started at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 6.
