THONward State’s Top Tweets From THON 2021

THON 2021 is in the books, folks!

All throughout THON, we tweeted live updates from our THON-specific Twitter handle, @THONwardState, to keep the people at home up to speed on the latest news, performances, and games. Given the 46 hours we were tweeting, there were quite a few tweets that really stood out as we looked back.

With that said, here’s some of the best THONward State tweets from THON 2021.

Where it all started…

“West Virginia, mountain mama.” You’d be surprised at how easy it is to find a picture of a mountain mama.

George!

If you can’t dance in the BJC this year, why not dance on…the beach?

Shoutout fans of “iCarly.” If you’re not a fan of iCarly, I suggest you do some research, my friend.

Yes, “Hot UPS Bae” was included in this year’s line dance.

Yes, Sue Paterno said this. No, we don’t think she was joking.

I have a crush on you, blog.

OK Otter was something else, baby!

Don’t tell us we didn’t tell you.

So. Much. Pain.

Mr. 305, Mr. Worldwide!

Let’s not forget Shakira’s bizarre electric performance at the Super Bowl LIV halftime show.

“UPTOWN GIRL, SHE’S MY UPTOWN GIIIIIIIIIRL!” Any mention of Billy Joel is great and you can’t tell us otherwise.
