OS Reviews: Yallah Taco’s Breakfast Menu
That’s right, folks. Yallah Taco is now serving breakfast!
After announcing the new menu when opening the new Yallah Taco on College Ave., the State College staple is dipping its feet into the downtown breakfast scene. Here’s what some of our staffers had to say about the new breakfast menu:
Frankie Marzano: Breakfast Burrito
I was absolutely blown away by Yallah’s breakfast burrito. The burrito comes packed with scrambled eggs, queso, avocado, and tater tots. The tater tots are really what did it for me. They had the perfect level of crispiness but didn’t take up the entire burrito. The queso and avocado provided plenty of flavors that you can’t get in any other breakfast sandwich downtown.
The best part about this burrito, in my opinion, is the price. It was only $7 for a breakfast that can easily satisfy your hangover hunger no matter how hungry you are. I think it’s safe to say that we have found the best breakfast in State College.
Gabe Angieri: Breakfast Bowl
Let me tell you, the breakfast bowl was absolutely phenomenal. It definitely exceeded my expectations. In the bowl, there was steak, eggs, tater tots, cheese, and queso, and plenty of favor to go around. A lot of places usually cheap out on the steak when they serve it for breakfast in a bowl or burrito. This wasn’t the case here. There was a good amount of steak to complement the eggs and other flavors.
The best part? It was $5! That’s right, all that food for the small of a price. I would absolutely come here again and get the same exact thing. I highly recommend it.
Charles Reinert: Breakfast Taco
I haven’t had a whole lot of Yallah in my days here at University Park. I love Mexican food, but for whatever reason, this is only my second time coming to the restaurant. I can say after this trip to its College Avenue location, I will be returning more in the future. I got the breakfast taco, which comes with eggs, potatoes, cheese, Yallah sauce, salsa, and your choice of protein. I went with chorizo (I’m a big chorizo fan). You can also choose between a hard shell and a soft shell.
The taco was very good, and every flavor blended together really well. The chorizo came with a nice heat that people who aren’t big spicy food fans can enjoy. Plus, it had just enough spice to be felt but not be overbearing. It’s also a huge plus that breakfast is served all day, and I got my taco at 2 p.m. in the afternoon. Overall, this was a great experience, and I will gladly go back again for more breakfast from Yallah.
