Podward State: Season 4, Episode 6 Ft. Kirk French
On this episode of Podward State, host Samuel Brungo is joined once again by Onward State social media editor Grace Cunningham to interview Penn State’s own alcohol expert, anthropology professor Kirk French.
To start off the episode, French spoke about his own journey, taking him from Texas to Cincinnati and all the way to Happy Valley. He recalled how he came to find a passion for anthropology…and alcohol.
While part of his job includes traveling the world, French reminisced on some of his favorite places that he’s been to. French then told the story of how he and his wife met in a true Penn State love story.
Finally, the conversation shifted to the relationship with alcohol focused on the upcoming State Patty’s weekend. He gave his advice and warnings to the Penn State students considering partaking in State Patty’s festivities.
