Report: Former Penn State Hoops Star Tim Frazier Signs 10-Day Contract With Memphis Grizzlies

Tim Frazier is back in the NBA, folks.

As first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Penn State men’s basketball’s former superstar guard has signed a 10-day contract with the Memphis Grizzlies, pending a green light regarding health and safety protocols.

Frazier ranks first all-time on Penn State’s assist leaderboard with 641 and is currently in his seventh professional season with his seventh team.

This is the second 10-day contract Frazier has signed with the Grizzlies this season, via the hardship exception. He appeared in three games, averaging 1.3 points for the Grizzlies back in January when Ja Morant was sidelined with an injury.

Memphis calls upon Frazier once again to fill its final roster spot as the Grizzlies make a push for the playoffs. They currently sit as the eighth seed in the Western Conference, and with De’Anthony Melton and Justise Winslow banged up, they’re lacking depth at point guard. Frazier provides Memphis with just that.

Frazier re-joins Lamar Stevens as the only active Penn State alumnus currently in the NBA.
