Centre County ‘Discover Local’ Treasure Hunt Begins April 12

Discovery Space of Central Pennsylvania is hosting a “Discover Local” treasure hunt throughout Centre County beginning Monday, April 12 through Sunday, April 25.

The treasure hunt aims to bring awareness to local “business treasures” and raise money for youth science programs. Participants can register through an online form by paying a $20 registration fee.

Through the event, participants are tasked with deciphering business names and scanning QR codes located on posters placed on businesses’ outdoor windows.

Some businesses are offering specials for participants, but the event is socially distanced and can be completed without entering any physical locations.

If you get the most correct, you’ll be entered to win a three-month STEM kit subscription from Discovery Space.
