Penn State Map Adds New Classroom Availability Feature

Penn State is helping students find places to study through a new feature through its online map, according to a message posted for students Wednesday.

Using the map, students can view the current availability, daily schedule, and hours of operation for all “General Purpose Classrooms” on campus. As with remote learning rooms, students are able to attend online classes, study, and take exams in these classrooms. Remote learning rooms will still be available and can be viewed via the map as well.

Penn State first introduced remote learning rooms at the beginning of the 2020-21 academic year and brought them back this spring to give students a place to attend remote classes.

Students accessing these rooms are expected to abide by the university’s social distancing and mask-wearing protocols.
