Odafe Oweh To Wear No. 99 For Baltimore Ravens

Former Penn State football defensive end Odafe Jayson Oweh will wear No. 99 for his new NFL squad.

The Baltimore Ravens confirmed the Nittany Lions’ new number via Twitter Wednesday afternoon, shortly after Micah Parsons’ No. 11 was released.

Oweh wore No. 28 during his time in Happy Valley. After just three seasons at Penn State, the New Jersey native leaves with 63 total tackles — including 13.5 for a loss — and seven sacks.

He wasn’t able to record a sack during his redshirt season in Happy Valley, but Oweh’s pure athleticism and speed off the edge was enough for Baltimore to select him with the No. 31 overall pick last week. Along with that, he still managed 31 total tackles and 6.5 for a loss this past season.

Oweh also impressed at Penn State’s Pro Day this past March, by running a 4.36-second 40-yard dash and putting up 21 reps on the bench press.

In his new No. 99, Oweh will play under the Ravens’ defensive coordinator Don Martindale. He’ll also join former Penn State football star quarterback Trace McSorley in Baltimore.
